Extensive Evaluation Validates Company’s Internal Controls

ORBIT’s SAS 70 and PCI Compliance certification helps affirm that ORBIT provides a consistent, secure and reliable operating environment to support clients.

Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70 is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A SAS 70 audit validates that a service organization has completed an in-depth audit of their control activities, which include controls over information technology processes. A Type I report outlines the service organization's description of controls at a specific point in time. A Type II report includes not only a description of controls, but also detailed testing of those controls over a minimum six month period. ORBIT Systems conducted and passed a Type II review.

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) was founded by the PCI Security Standards Council whose members include American Express, Discovery Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa International. The standard was established to ensure consistent data security measures around the globe and make certain that customers’ credit card, account and transaction information is safe from hackers or any malicious system intrusion.
